Where Adventure Travel and Accessibility Meet

Who says you can’t have it all? Dream vacations should be exactly that – and if you can dream it, Cari Me Away Travels is here to make it happen. Whether that’s horseback riding through the Scottish highlands, immersing yourself in ancient Greek culture, rejuvenating your spirit on a beach in Bali, or taking a once-in-a-lifetime trip with three generations of your family, no dream is too big.

Adventure Trips

Do you love to explore and spend time in the great outdoors? Are you a hands-on learner who likes to touch and feel different parts of the world? How about an expedition cruise through Alaska or an African safari? Or maybe exploring Costa Rica through the rain forest or a multi-sport adventure? The possibilities are truly endless!

Cultural Experiences of Europe

Veer off the beaten, tourist-ridden path and travel like a local instead, immersing yourself in the culture as you go. From seeing Tuscany by train, to baking bread in Sicily, or exploring the individual highlights Paris, Prague, London, Munich, Budapest, and beyond! Let’s first decide on the where and then have fun planning the what: cooking classes, private tours, culinary events, distilleries and breweries, vineyards, historical churches, ancient architecture, and more! Together, we can craft an itinerary for one, two, or even your entire extended family.

Tropical Island Getaways

Tropical islands can be just the ticket if you want both rest and adventure. Recharge your batteries on a pristine beach, then take in an afternoon of kite surfing to kick things up. There are so many options available whether you’re looking for couples-only, family, or multi-generational ideas. Choose from an all-inclusive resort to beach homes with a little more privacy. Find activities for all ages or a quiet spot to revel in the moment. Tropical islands offer more than you might think!

Multi Generational Travel

Is there anything more precious than spending time with family and sharing experiences? If you’ve ever tried to find activities that make everyone happy, you know how challenging that can be though. This is where Cari Me Away Travels really shines. We’ve helped groups of three and four generations make lasting memories traveling to England, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal… the list is long! The trip may eventually end, but the stories will last a lifetime.

What’s on YOUR bucket list?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A: Yes, I do! Multi-generational trips are some of the most fun for me to plan. I’ve sent families to Portugal, Scotland, Ireland, and around the US. These trips can be quite complicated — from figuring out the different airports, to finding activities that all will enjoy. It’s very much like putting together a jigsaw puzzle and celebrating the final itinerary at the end and a process I really enjoy.

  • A: My twin children are both living with disabilities. My daughter was diagnosed at the age of two with spinal muscular atrophy and, now in her twenties, is a full-time wheelchair user. She’s also traveled extensively with a service dog, so I have experience with that too. I understand the questions that need to be asked, from the height of the bed and the type of shower, to types of accessibility, working with the airlines, and much more.

My son was diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety, and seasonal affective disorder at the age of six. I became a Certified Autism Travel Professional in 2022 to learn even more about ways that I can support those who live with neurodivergent disabilities. There are so many wonderful resources available that the general traveler would have trouble finding, and I love making these connections for clients.

  • A: Absolutely! I am happy to let the vendor know of your rewards account and make sure you receive credit for your bookings.

  • A: I highly recommend travel insurance for many reasons, but most importantly, to protect your investment. Let me give you an example. I had a client become ill while traveling in Mexico. He and his girlfriend needed to come back to the U.S. about half-way through their trip. Because they purchased travel insurance, we were able to secure refunds for unused nights, added expenses, the visit with the doctor, and more. I use Travel Guard which is an AIG company.

  • A: As a travel coach I love helping clients through their desires and goal experiences. A trip is an investment in time, dollars, and mental health. It can take time to plan the perfect itinerary, but I’m there with you from the beginning, during travel, and after you get home.

  • A: I use a software specifically designed for Travel Advisors. You will receive an Itinerary that is easily accessible by an app on your phone that can be used while on- and offline. This software tracks flights live and lets you know of any changes. All hotels, excursions, tickets, etc., are also added to the Itinerary, so they’re easy to find. It’s also downloadable as a PDF so you can have a copy if you find yourself without WiFi.

  • A: The travel industry is commission-based, and travel advisors don’t get paid until as much as 90 days post-travel. I do, however, charge a planning fee of 5% of the net cost of the trip. In other words, if your total spend is $10,000, there will be a $500 planning fee, payable when the final Itinerary is accepted. There is also a $100 deposit due at the time of the signing of the contract, which will be credited to the final invoice. The planning fee helps to cover the hours spent on research of the trip, which I take seriously to ensure the best possible experience.

  • A: Sure can! If you love to eat local fare, we can reserve your table, a hands-on cooking experience, or an online class before you even set foot on a plane! I’d especially love to send you to Fiamma and Debora in Rome — they’re spunky, social, and fun, their classes are fantastic, and the food is to die for.

  • A: Absolutely! I have purchased tickets to CATS in London, Taylor Swift in the Netherlands, and Symphony tickets in Paris. Your wish is my command.
